Over the past 5 years I have been working to bring this program to the hands of those in need with the idea I was helping them. In fact, this program has brought me more personal growth, focus and emotional gain then I could ever give back. Being a part of something that makes such a huge difference to both humans and animals is life changing. Causes: Education, Mental Health, Mental Health & Crisis Intervention
Mission: We assist organizations in helping individuals develop the skills they need to become more caring, responsible and empathetic members of their community. We do this by providing Canine Assisted Social Emotional Learning Programs, training and support. The transformative power of these programs results in a significant heartfelt change.
Results: Our current research addresses the impact of our Canine Assisted Program on youth. The canine program pairs youth with a shelter dog for 15 sessions of social emotional learning lessons and dog training. This curriculum was based on evidence that animal assisted therapy provides physical, emotional, cognitive and psychological support for humans (Habri.org).
