PAWsitive Pantry has been coming to our food pantry twice a month for several years now. They have been a wonderful support to the guests who visit our food pantry. Guests have shared the incredible relief they experience knowing they can continue to care for their cherished companions, who become members of their family.
PAWSitive Pantry has been a tremendous partner of Here Today Adopted Tomorrow, helping us make a positive impact on so many communities across the state, including towns like Brimfield, Holland, Monson, Palmer, Southbridge, Sturbridge, Wales, Ware, and Warren, Massachusetts—which our Pet Food Pantry serves. This partnership is integral to our ability to support pets and the people who love them. And the organization’s generous contributions play an important part in ensuring that we can continue to serve thousands of cat and dog meals annually. Many people rely on help like this, and we are so thankful for our partnership with PAWSitive Pantry.
As a recipient animal shelter of PAWSitive Pantry we can't thank and say enough good things about the work that PAWSitive Pantry does. They repeatedly have provided critical pet food to our Pet Food Aid program to help individuals going through temporary hardship and allow family units to stay intact. We have heard countless people say that one bag of dog or cat food can get them through a rough patch. Some people live paycheck to paycheck, and one unexpected expense can have a really big impact. PAWSitive Pantry assistance allows our shelter to continue to offer an alternative to families who need it and for that we are extremely grateful. Thank you for all of the great work you do on behalf of animals.
I have always loved dogs and wanted to volunteer to help but by having a Full Time job I could only commit so much time. So after doing some research I came across Pawsitive Pantry… Their mission touched my heart. Just like them I believe NO DOG should go hungry and no responsible/loving owner should have to come to the difficult decision of giving away a furry loving member of their family due to an unpredictable lay off or financial hardship (This can happen to anyone and sometimes all we need a little boost to get up back on our feet + I feel this is when you need your dog’s love the most!!)
I also liked how their volunteer times are flexible and can fit your schedule. Many charities I reached out wanted me to sign and commit one day a week for the next 6 months which can is a huge a commitment.
Bonus: You will meet many other kind hearted dog lovers just like you! ❤️
Pawsitive Pantry is wonderful to work with providing low income seniors with dry and canned cat and dog food, various brands, treats, toys, and litter. Inventoryprovided by Pawsitive Pantry changes daily.
In addition to the pet pantry at the Salisbury senior center we also have a food pantry where we noticed many of our seniors were stocking up on canned tuna and chicken, we thought they might be making soup, etc, however we came to find out they were feeding it to the pets. Based upon seniors deciding to feed their pets instead of themselves we determined there was a great need for pet food. Pawsitive Pet Pantry stepped in delivering pet products each week, now the pets are getting a more balanced nutritious diet utilizing the donations from the pet pantry, and our seniors are able to pick up the groceries they need for themselves through our Food Pantry.

I've volunteered for PAWSitive Pantry for over 3 years. They have been enormously helpful to community members and their pets via food pantries throughout Covid and now as people face hardships due to inflation. I hear from food pantry managers that when people realize food pantries have pet food available, they experience such relief and happiness. I am happy to help an organization that keeps people and their pets together despite financial hardship and reduces surrenders to shelters. I love volunteering and telling people what we do.
This org has been very flexible and easy to work with. I can suggest and work events that are in locations convenient to me at times I can work.
If I need additional help or cannot work somewhere or with someone in particular they are very understanding. I have been working with this org for almost two years in MA!
Stacy is so wonderful. We are just starting out a new investigative task force in our county to help homeless abused animals from agricultural to domestic. Currently our state has minimal laws protecting animals , no state funded facilities and our county shelters are stressed to the max.
Our privately funded sheriff office has stepped up and teamed with 501 c rescues to lend a helping hand . Currently we are working to feed , vet and rehomed many cats from colony’s that are not feral but need some socialization. Shelters have no room for these kinds of cats and often they get put into TNR programs for lack of any where else to go. We are lining up foster homes, volunteers vet connections and lots of community support and most importantly education.
Stacy reached out to help immediately and has gotten us foodsupport and lots of educational material. All our start up cost are coming out of our pockets . So her assistance helped us jump right in and pull cats that very day . Thank you pawsative pantry you’re amazing to help us boots on the ground start ups lend a helping hand . Enjoy some pictures of cats we have helped. All happily in new homes thriving thanks to a massive team of volunteers and rescues and wonderful vets.
Thank you everyone please do what you can to keep this important work going . .
This program has helped so many seniors - feeding their pets - having access to wet and dry food for their cats or dogs - oftentimes seniors will go without to make sure their pets are taken care of, this program allows seniors the ability to pickup pet food at no cost enabling them to spend what funds they do have on their own care.
PAWSitive Pantry is a critical service that keeps pets and their owners together when people are facing economic or other personal hardships. The organization is an excellent partner and advocate. Dakin Humane Society is honored to work closely with Stacy and her team. Thank you for being a voice for families in our community who are living through difficult times, your continual acts of kindness and generosity mean so much.
The Grafton Food Bank has been the recipient of assistance from the Pawsitive Pantry since the pandemic started in 2020. We are one of the only Food Banks in the area to offer pet food to our client families & they really appreciate the variety of food & other products they have to choose from each month. With help from regional coordinator Lindsey & delivery volunteer Lex, we receive monthly donations from local pet food & grocery stores. If we have a particular need which is not readily available thru donations, Pawsitive has even purchased food for our monthly distributions. Don't know how we could have filled our pet food shelves without the help of the hardworking Pawsitive staff! Thanks to all of them for a wonderful partnership for the past several years!! Grafton families & pets have truly benefitted!!!
The Montpelier Food Pantry receives weekly donations of dog and cat foods from PAWSitive Pantry. We distribute those donations to our food shelf clients. We feel that many clients would go without food in order to feed their pets. We are very blessed to have their support!!!!
Kudos to this organization. Pet owners are apt to feed their pets before they feed themselves so this is one burden that they don't have. This service also helps the owners keep their trusted pets rather than overload the Humane Society and most of all, the owners and pets have the companionship that feeds their souls...a win, win for all in these hard times.
Pawsitive Pantry provides a service which is greatly needed in the communities I serve. Many people would be unable to keep their animal companions without the food, treats and goodies the program distributes. On a daily basis, I have people coming in for pet food when they are in a bind. I don't know what I would do without the help we get from this organization.
Pawsitive Pantry is an amazing non profit organization! It is a great group of dedicated people who are dedicated pet owners and understand the importance of others in financial hardship having a difficult time being able to keep there pets!
The work the pantry does is incredible. I volunteer and deliver to two different food shelters and the people there, both workers and users of the pantry, stop me every time and are so so grateful. In these times that are so hard for individuals and families, to be forced to give up a valued member of the family like a pet or to not be able to provide well for them is a much too painful and unnecessary thing to occur. And the group that runs the pantry are dedicated and seem to have their priorities straight. Woofs to all . . .
This group is made up of organized, dedicated animal lovers of all ages. Their work has made it possible for many, many families to keep their beloved pets when otherwise, due to finances, they would have to give them up. These volunteers often drive through miserable conditions (this is Vermont!) to get this food distributed to those in need.
Pawsitive Pantry - what a great concept and what an incredible need this organization fills! Bottom line - it insures that animals can be fed and families already experiencing desperate issues with the recession, can keep their loving dogs and cats embraced within the family circle, where they are needed more than ever. Hats off to its founder, Jen Bennett, and all of the volunteers who make this work on such a broad scale. It is a model that has been copied in other regions, because it works so well and makes so much sense!
EVERYONE involved at Pawsitive Pantry is very organized, helpful, thoughtful, and they have a fun time while promoting a good cause.
It is truly noteworthy and ethical to support people who are in need of short term assistance, and help them foster the best environment for their existing pets during times of travail, easing the burden of financial distress caused by unemployment , illness or injury, or unforeseen difficulties; Pawsitve Pantry does it!
PAWSitive pantry is just the best. The provide a much needed and appreciated service to the community animals in these times of need. They have organised some innovative, imaginative and fund raising events here in the Mad River Valley and regardless of the harsh weather conditions, they meet every week to pack food for the Animal food shelf. The Dogs of the Mad River Valley, including mine, say a BIG thank you to Jen and the team!
My personal belief is that there is nothing more reassuring during times of duress than a loving pet. This organization allows owners to keep their pets during financially stressful times.
All profits for this organization go directly towards providing food for dogs and cats.
The woman who started Pawsitive Pantry has created an organization comprised of very dedicated volunteers.......
Pawsitive Pantry rocks. The passion behind pets is one thing. But really it's about hope.
Anyone who has ever loved a cat or dog, or even knows someone who has, knows how incredibly important that pet is to it's person in good times and especially bad. The idea that someone would have to relinquish responsibility because of a temporary (hopefully) hard time is just heartbreaking for the person and the pet. PP is there to make sure there are options.
The volunteers and founder are some of the most fun and big-hearted people around too. What's better than that?
Pawsitive Pantry provides pet food to area food shelters so that people who are in need of assistance may get pet food at the same time they pick up food for themselves. This enables people to be able to keep their pets and ensures that the pets get the food they need.
The pantry is a well organized volunteer effort that I am happy to be involved with.
