Mission: To increase access to medical care for children with serious illnesses and support their families.
Programs: Partnership for children provides services in central california for children living with serious illnesses, increasing access to medical care and supporting families. In fiscal 2017, partnership for children served 176 children and their families, providing 1,379 transports to medical appointments via direct rides and gas card provisions, as well as financial and other practical support for families. Financial support assisted families in paying for basic living expenses such as rent and utilities, helping families to avoid homelessness and to keep the lights on and the water running. Financial funeral support also was provided upon the death of a child to help ease the financial burden during this most difficult time. In 2016, partnership for children began a diaper bank service and car seat provision service, helping to keep children clean, dry, and healthy, as well as safe while riding in a vehicle.
