Its primary objective is to provide excellent free public education and guidance to students in grades k-12 in a safe environment that enables students to be successful, caring, and knowledgeable members of our community. A primary goal of the school has been to earn and maintain high marks in arizona's system of rating schools based on student achievement. The arizona department of education gave 'a' ratings to both campuses (elementary and high school) for school year 2016-17. U. S. News and world report recognized the high school as being one of america's best in 2015, and scores on the new azmerit test exceed results for the state and neighboring schools for both campuses in 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17.
