Causes: Job Training, Sheltered Employment
Mission: The mission of pantheon industries is to provide a full spectrum of opportunities for appropriate employment options for individuals with disabilities that will benefit both them and the community. Pantheon's primary goal is to establish program services that maximize capabilities and potentials, as well as enchance physical, emotional, and social experiences. We accomplish this through support and training by concerned and caring staff working cooperatively with client-employees, families/guardians, referring agencies, other service providers, and the community. Pantheon emphasizes possibilities rather than limitations in responding to the needs of each individual. We continually re-evaluate current services and develop new programs. Pantheon values responsiveness, flexibility, and the willingness to accept challenges to meet both the current and future needs of those we serve.
Programs: Pantheon industries provides vocational training and development, job readiness skills training, occupational and speech therapies, and other employment services for individuals with disabilities. Participants in pantheon's programs are trained for a variety of skills including remaining on-task, counting, sorting, packaging, social relationships, getting along with co-workers, etc. The homegrown wholesale greenhouse offers seasonal employment for participants where they are taught to plant and care for flowers, how to monitor heat and humidity levels, and how to work as a team. The vocational development center (vdc) works with different area high schools to assist in the coordination and implementation of transition plans. The vdc partners with state and local agencies to provide a full range of integrated and supported employment opportunities. Participants receive bi-weekly paychecks for the work completed. Over 500 individuals participated in pantheon's programs during the year.
