Programs: Pando Days is our annual program bringing together colleges and universities from across the Southland to help implement the LA County sustainability plan. Schools dedicate full courses, studios, or labs to creating ingenious solutions that further the region’s goals. We support Pando Days initiatives with research stipends, networking, events, consultation, story-telling, and facilitation of end-of-project seed funding. Magenta House Expo is the first-of-its kind science fair-like opportunity for sustainability. Expo projects are designed to meet this challenge: How might we create a critical mass of water-wise and power-conscious homes and buildings that serve as a stand-out example for the City? The Magenta House Accelerator is designed to give students all the help they need to develop their best and most competitive innovations for water conservation and power efficiency. It supports student innovation from beginning to end. Pando's CSO Strategic Taskforce brings together Chief Sustainability Officers from government, business, and education and other institutions of civil society from across LA County to focus on Southland sustainability as a whole and innovate professional-community collaborations.
