Mission: Our mission is focus on abuse prevention and to pursue the rescue of abused, neglected, unwanted or displaced companion psittacines (parrot type birds) where we specialize in identifying any medical, behavioral, dietary, or other needs and treat the bird as necessary. We find adoptive home from interviewed applicants that meet or exceed the same standards of commitment we expect of ourselves while placing emphasis on education of current or future bird owners as well as the general public. We teach about the compassion, commitment, care and information required for companion avians to thrive in domestic situations.
Results: We have placed, or helped place, 800+ birds to date. We are always searching for more methods of fundraising and looking for more volunteers to add their special abilities to the growth, health and well being of the parrots and this organization caring for them.
Target demographics: Residents primarily in Eastern Washington State, but stretching into parts or Idaho, Oregon and Montana.
Programs: Education Outreach, Foster Parronts, Community Outreach, Toy parties, Video and Book Exhange
