The foundation identifies and assists in gaining access to clinical trials and research that may be appropriate for certain patients. The foundation acts as the liason among parties involved in these trials. In alliance with the broader medical community, the foundation promotes research to explore cancer prevention and treatment. Advocacy: the foundation generates public awareness as well as support and understanding of the needs of the cancer patients and their families. The foundation will serve as an advocate for patients and their families in order to ensure that they receive the utmost respect and dignity as they face the challenges of their disease. Information: the foundation serves the community by providing a connection between the cancer patient and the resources they need whether they be social, financial, mental, spiritual or physical. The foundation identifies for the cancer patients and their families support groups and special events specific to their needs. The foundation provides a resource center that gives personal assistance for those desiring information on the disease.
