Mission: The owyhee cattleman's heritage foundation was formed to promote awareness, appreciation and preservation of the western life style through education and legal action.
Programs: Grant funds were received from the state of idaho for the control of noxious weeds on state rangelands. Cattleman's heritage foundation disburses these amounts for chemicals and related expenses used on idaho rangeland. Volunteers provide the equipment and labor to apply the chemicals.
second accomplishment - resources are provided to individuals to assist with legal costs incurred in the resolution of disputes between competing users of rangelands and the permitting process. Assistance for legal bills was provided to 8 individuals during 2017.
