Programs: Abortion assistance fund (aaf) - pcr's abortion assistance fund is one of the oldest funds in the united states. The abortion assistance fund aims to dismantle the economic restrictions and barriers to abortion and provide equal access for all women, especially young women, women of color and low-income women. Pregnancy happens in the context of our lives. So in addition to financial support, we provide immediate resources to women such as: helping them to qualify for medical assistance, providing referrals to domestic violence shelters and offering non-judgmental support.
birds and bees project - the purpose of the the birds & bees project is to support all people in making their own sexuality decisions based on accurate and comprehensive sexuality education, including laws regarding access to medical care and resources that are relevant to diverse communities. We focus our resources on individuals and families most at-risk for having their human rights violated; that includes: people with the least access to medical care, people living in poverty, incarcerated women and youth, people of color, homeless populations and adolescents.
abortion education and outreach - the education and outreach program educates youth and other at-risk groups in the twin cities about contraceptives, sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy and reproductive options, including parenting, adoption, and abortion.
