Causes: Disaster Aid
Mission: To protect, preserve, enrich, and support the residents of fire district #25, snohomish county, washington, and support the operations, equipment needs, brotherhood, and training of the firefighters and emergency medical technicians (emts) of the district. It is our duty to equip the members of fire district #25 to provide the best fire protection, emergency medical services, disaster relief, property conservation, and community support possible.
Programs: Call reimbursements: the volunteer firefighters receive a small payment for each "call" they respond to ($5. 00 each "call"). The number of call responses are tracked and the money is paid out in december each year. The fire district provides the funds to our organization, which we then pay out to each firefighter.
uniforms: most equipment is provided by the fire district, however our organization supplements that by purchasing additional items that haven't been purchased by the district.
grants to mudslide victims: after the tragic 2014 mudslide in our community, we received donations intended to help the victims of the disaster. During 2017 we solicited grant applications and made grants to many of those victims.
all others: tools, signs and vehicle repair.
