Mission: The primary purpose of the oregon children's choir and youth chorale is to promote development of musical skills and understanding for children and youth, to provide quality choral music instruction, and to provide opportunities for musical performance. To form the foundation of a life-long appreciation of music and to expand knowledge of the value of performing arts.
Programs: The oregon children's choir and youth chorale (occyc) sustains three choirs (the oregon preparatory choir for grades one through three, the oregon children's choir for grades four through eight, and the oregon youth chorale for grades nine through twelve), with a total membership of 89 singers. Occyc performed three local concerts, two special christmas appearances, a veterans day concert, and held two weekend retreats and two one-week summer camps during the fiscal year ending 08. 31. 14
