Causes: Chambers of Commerce & Business Leagues
Mission: O4ad, the oregon association of area agencies on aging and disabilities, represents the 17 area agencies on aging in oregon. These agencies, fulfilling the work of the older americans' act as well as providing state mandated medicaid services to oregon's seniors and people with disabilities, cover all corners of the state and represent over 90% of this population receiving services. O4ad works to help ensure adequate funding and support to programs, services, and supports for seniors and people with physical disabilities throughout the state. This help was through advocacy, training, and education. Key to this work was our efforts to sustain oregon project independence, build supports for our medicaid system within oregon, and expand home and community based care. O4ad provided trainings to advocates, staff, and the public regarding issues and topics such as family caregivers, lifespan respite, as well as topics relative to program managers, nutrition staff, contract/fiscal staff, and
