For almost 25 years now, Educare has persistently helped underprivileged students in Cameroon. With the coming of the current sociopolotical crisis in the two English speaking regions of the Country, Educare has spared no effort to reach out to students even in the most remote areas.
Many students would not be in class, if Educare did not come to their assistance. Through tuition paid, teachers can be paid and the schools can be sustained.
Examples of former beneficiaries show that the work if Educare has yielded many fruits and continues to impact not only the Cameroonian society, but other parts of the World where Ex-Educare scholars live and work.
I wish the team of Educare God's abundant blessings and more success in their endeavours.
Am Fornkwa Irene a teacher in st Pius x college Tatum .I write to appreciate EDUCARE AFRICA for for the great support you have done for our school. This has gone a long way to boost to performance of our students and I pray that the Almighty God will replenish the sources. Thanks so much we are very greatful
Am Mrs Trifena Denis from the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Am writing to express my heartfelt appreciation to Educare Africa Team of Kind donors on behalf of my family.
To begin with am short of words because the unwavering and unlimited support from Educare Africa to my son Sunjo Clifford have marvelled my entire family and our community entirely. On this note am writing this review to express my heartfelt gratitude to Educare Africa NGO for their incredible support and commitment to my Son educational journey.
Today after reflecting back from where Educare Africa picked my Son and where he's now academically, I am encouraged to share my experience with this remarkable organization that has made a life-changing difference in the life of my son Clifford.
From the moment Clifford was introduced to Educare Africa, I knew he was in the hands of a compassionate and dedicated team. That was far back in June 2011 at GBHS Tatum in Cameroon.Educare Africa have been instrumental in sponsoring Clifford education from secondary school all the way to a prestigious tertiary institution abroad in Nigeria. The journey has not been easy, but with their unwavering support, he has been able to navigate the challenges of pursuing higher education with confidence.
What truly sets Educare Africa apart is their holistic approach to educational sponsorship. They have gone above and beyond by not only providing financial assistance for school fees but also ensuring that he had access to essential learning materials, accommodation, and other school demands that can often be overwhelming for students and their families. This comprehensive support has alleviated a significant burden and allowed him to focus more on his studies and personal growth. This is something that my family couldn't do owing to the fact that they are peasants farmers with low income.Educare Africa elevated my son Clifford from a no body to somebody.
Furthermore, the team at Educare Africa has always been there for him, offering guidance and encouragement every step of his way. They regularly check in on his progress in school and ensure that he have the resources he need to succeed academically and personally. This alone has made Educare Africa NGO to stand out and to be tagged A Rare gem .This level of commitment speaks volumes about their mission to empower students and promote education in our community.
Thanks to Educare Africa, Clifford have had the privilege of attending a university that offers a wealth of opportunities. He have made lifelong friendships, engaged in meaningful extracurricular activities, and gained invaluable knowledge that will serve him well in his future career. He's now more determined than ever to give back to our community and help others who are seeking the same opportunities that he have been fortunate to receive anytime he rounds up his academic journey and start earning.
In conclusion, I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to Educare Africa NGO for their generosity, dedication, and belief in my son Clifford potentials. I am forever grateful and will continue to play my own part of guiding him .
On behalf of my entire family we remain ever grateful and will be good ambassadors of the good work Educare Africa NGO is doing in our community.

I am Kongnso W. Edith, a follower of Educare-Africa's activities in Cameroon. One of the most notable impacts of Educare-Africa is the success stories of its beneficiaries. Many students who have received support from the organization have achieved higher education degrees, including PhDs. This achievement is particularly significant as it not only elevates individual lives but also contributes to the broader educational landscape in Cameroon. The emergence of these individuals as lecturers, researchers, teachers, medical professionals, and lab technicians indicates a ripple effect that enhances community knowledge and skill. Dear Educare Africa executive family, I write to express our gratitude as St. Pius X Catholic college Tatum. For all the the funds raised that have kept some of our learners in school. You have touch, changed, transformed their lives. Some lack words and wonder that we still have people who stand and express humanness and humanity in a war situation like ours. Kudos.
I am Dr Tasin Godlove Bafon. I have been following Educare-Africa since 2014 when I first heard of this impactful organization through a friend whose education (from secondary to tertiary) just like many other Cameroonians, was made possible by Educare-Africa. I am writing this review to commend the tremendous impact Educare-Africa has had and continues to have on the lives of many underprivileged Cameroonians living in remote areas, who thanks to this organization were able to go to school, and went go to achieve their lives’ dreams thereby changing for better the lives of their families and their communities. The testimonials of the many Cameroonians whose dreams were made possible thanks to Educare-Africa, clearly shows the profound influence and difference this organization has made and continues to make. Educare-Africa is really out to make the world a better place.
My name is Nfor Clins Wiryikfu, a mechanical engineer and research officer with the Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation in Cameroon.
Come from a small village, Sehn in Ndu sub division.
In the early months of 2004, had it not be the help of one Tchadien, Bouba Kaou residing and doing business in Ntumbaw, who my mom assisted in selling tablets, the young brilliant guy, Clins who always got sent home for not paying school fee on time would have ended on the street.
The timely intervention of this Tchadien made me and mom trek to Tatum, met Madam Pavla, the peace corps who later took my school responsibility personal till university after seeing my performance.
Today, being where I am, it's thanks to Educare Africa and Madam Pavla, who didn't end at just paying school fee, but distributed textbooks, uniforms and other school items.
Nfor Clins Wiryikfu who got sent from school time students were sent off for fees became the first to pay fees completely and joyously today, I'm a mechanical engineer doing PhD in the same field.
I want to appreciate Madam Pavla and all her volunteers (Mobile Kelvin) who sometimes trekked to come and pay my fees in the then GSS Ntumbaw, without which, I don't know what I would've become.
My name is Fai Ebenezer, and I hail from the humble Tatum village. By divine ordination, I am a pastor serving the Lord within the Cameroon Baptist Convention. My beginnings were marked by poverty; I often found myself among the last to settle my school fees. However, my life took a transformative turn when I encountered the benevolent support of our dear mother, Pavla Z. Laney.
Education was a dream hindered by financial constraints, but Educare Africa emerged as a beacon of hope, alleviating my burdens. Their assistance enabled me to not only have my school fees paid multiple times but also provided me with a proper school uniform, school bag and access to text books. I vividly remember the day my father, unable to afford a genuine uniform, purchased an item from Ndu market that merely resembled one. Educare Africa liberated me from that humiliation.
By the grace of God, I proudly defended my PhD in New Testament Language and Literature at the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary in Ogbomoso on the 14th of October 2024. God bless our dear mother, bless Educare, volunteer workers and all donors.

I'm NDI BRIAN NDOMI, A Biology teacher.
I have known Educare Africa since 2008 and have received support interms of school material like note books, school uniforms, pens, math sets, just to name a few, school fees and financial support which greatly helped me through in my educational life.
All these paved a way for me from form one to upper sixth make it stress free for me and my parents/guardian.
Educare Africa, I will say has played a great role in ensuring I'm where I'm today.
Ever since I began secondary school, with the hardship we had, Educare Africa has been supporting me up to this level. To me it’s a miracle to have known this NGO and I’ll forever be grateful
Thank you Educare Africa!
My name is Shang Pius, l have a lot to tell the world about Educare Africa.
I learnt about this organization from the director Mrs Pavla herself, when she came to my village Memfu in the year 1999 to educate parents and students on the importance of education and to find intelligent and needy students to assist l was lucky to have been selected among those to be assisted that year. I have benefited from the organization through out my secondary school education, high school and University. Every year l received help in the form of school materials (text books, exercise books, scientific calculators, pens, pencils, erasers, colors, ball markers etc just to name a few,), house rents, registration fees for official examinations and physical cash. This assistance made me who l am today.
I was also opportuned to work at the Educare Africa center in Tatum for some years, where we will receive parents and students every morning for the period the director is around following a well drawn up calendar of activities for that period. Usually we will start the day by praying and sharing from the daily word and some other inspirational books like Abundance is your right, by Thomas Arthur, the course in miracles etc. It was so nice to work with Mrs Pavla, very inspiring.
I am a secondary school teacher, chemistry/mathematics. I work in Njikwa subdivision, momo division of the NW region of Cameroon. I live in Mbouda, west region, with my wife, Banboye Benedicta who equally benefited from the organization though not as much as myself and our five children, before going to work in Njikwa. I also teach in a private school in Mbouda organized by myself and some colleagues to assist the internally displaced children coming from the North West and South west regions displaced due to the ongoing political crises in these two regions.
We intend to become donors to this organization in the future.
Long live Educare Africa
Long live Non profits
Yours sincerely

I am a Cameroonian and a benefactor from educare Africa . I have benefited alot from this NGO back then when I was a student in GHS Tatum now GBHS Tatum
My name is Tangko Julius Ngala.I knew Educate Africa, through Mme Palva, the CEO. Through this organization, I received help ranging from writing materials, through school/ examination fees, to house rents, during my secondary, high school and university days. I forever remain grateful for her wonderful initiative.
I am Ngah Lidwine Munyuysuiyin. Son or Mr and Mrs Ngah Williams. We lived in Ngondzen a village under Nkum subdivision. A trekking distance that used to take us more than 2hours 30mins to reach GHS Tatum. In my First year in GHS Tatum used to Trek this distance throughout first term before I finally got a room in Tatum to stay with my sister. I schooled in GHS Tatum now GBHS Tatum from 2000 to 2006. I won't lie but I had some good times due to Educare Africa of Madam Pavla Zakova Laney that we commonly Referred to as "Yaa Kibang" literally meaning a 'motherly white woman'. When I got into form one, I was told about the good deeds of Yaa Kibang. One of them that got me so Interested was that she always give prizes during the third Term to excellent students and I was told I needed to work hard. I tried all my best and I was third position in first term, second position in second Term and First position in Third, but annually I was third. I was given a school bag with exercise books and other things which accompanied the books like math sets, pens, rulers etc.
Again I was told my fees will be paid the following year as part of Yaa Kibang's Scholarship ( I mean Educare Africa) because of my
This scholarship and prize drove me throughout my secondary school and I received this prize and the scholarship throughout my secondary education right up to High school. I passed my ordinary Level with 20papers.
I then transferred to GBHS Kumbo because the science section of GHS Tatum was not fully functional even though we learned Madam Pavla had donated Lab equipments and was about building a structure for the Lab. Nonetheless we still went to Kumbo. In GBHS Kumbo there were no prize awards but some of us who were already part of the Educare benefiting scheme continued to receive financial support from The Educare through Madam Pavla. I passed the A level with five science subjects.
I will also like to recount that while in Tatum when I was in form three I had serious Knee problems as the knees were paining seriously. I went to Madam Pavla and explained the situation and I was granted health assistance, I went to BBH Kumbo with Mr Gilbert and I did consultations and Check up and was placed on drugs for sometime. I was also given some cash at hand and I was told it was the left overs from the allocated money.
The treatment relieved me greatly and my parents were very happy for the assistance given by Educare Africa.
From GBHS Kumbo I went to University of Buea, with the aim of doing medicine. I wrote entrance into Medical school and failed and I then enrolled into Normal university to do Biochemistry, I wrote again the second year and still failed.
There at the University I was still greatly assisted by the Educare Africa with school fees among others.
I finally graduated with a degree in Biochemistry and now I am a teacher in a private school.
I Will like to express my unending thanks to Educare Africa through Madam Pavla our "Yaa Kibang"
Long lived Educare Africa.

I have been a supporter of Educare-Africa for many years. My family’s foundation members are in awe of Ms. Zakova-Lainey’s leadership and stewardship of this important organization. She runs a stellar non-profit and truly appreciates her donors, without question. She knows just when to check in with an inspirational story or photograph about one of her beloved students. The stories are heartfelt and endearing and they motivate commitments for future support because Pavla is, without a doubt, making a tremendous difference in the world — and in the lives of Cameroon students who clearly adore her.
Pavla’s heart and soul are captured in her work and service to others. I would wholeheartedly encourage potential donors to consider Educate-Africa when allocating their precious philanthropic dollars. I am proud to be associated with this important cause, especially at this difficult time in the world. Pavla’s newsletters provide hope for the future and shine a bright light on making lives better one student at a time. Thank you for the opportunity to state my unwavering support for Educare-Africa. Sincerely,

Educare Africa is a great non profit organization. They helped me provide for tuition when I was in secondary school. If I can read and write today it's great thanks to this organization.
“Merci Beaucoup” EDUCARE-AFRICA
I am Peter GHAKANYUY. Growing up as a young boy aspiring to attend secondary school but with little or no means to take care of the associated cost of education, I was introduced to this great and life changing non-profit organization (EDUCARE-AFRICA) in 2003 by the then Country Manager. Throughout my secondary, high and part of university studies, I received assistance from EDUCARE-AFRICA ranging from tuition to other school supplies (books, pens, school bags, etc). In addition, I also received a number of awards as a result of my outstanding performances. It was therefore thanks to the relentless efforts and financial assistance of this wonderful organization that I pursued my studies and finally graduated from one of the prestigious engineering schools in Cameroon as a Mechanical Engineer in 2014. Many thanks to Mme. Pavla Zakova-Laney (Founder, President, Executive Director & Full-time volunteer of EDUCARE-AFRICA) and Dr. Brook MacNamara (Benefactress of the Inharmony Scholar Program) for their endless efforts and support towards my education.
“Merci Infiniment”
Working in a region of Cameroon hardly hit by the current sociopolitical crisis, Educare has kept seeking for means to reach out to students not only in towns, but in remote areas, where almost nothing is possible.
The said crisis targeted among others schools, putting the education system to a stand still, closing schools, causing teachers to escape and children to evacuate the regions into safer regions, where they could attend school. The underpriviledged students had to stay back and many have been out of school for 6 years now.
Having worked in a remote area, Educare could use a vast network to reach these regions and come to the aid of students here, when schools gradually started reopening.
The internally displaced students have also access to educare, which has also taken up their financial assistance, thereby giving them hopes and a future prespective of ever completing education in order to help themselves and others.
The work of Educare leaves an impact not only in the individual student, but in the communities, where the beneficiaries live and go to school. By laying this foundation in the lives of many young people, Educate invests sustainably in the future of the society.
I am personally thankful for the good collaboration that I could witness with Educare, bringing together ideas and discussing strategies of how to reach out to students, how to share the burden of assistance among each other and learning from the experience of each other on the ground. Our nonprofit Life Education and Health Alliance E.v. is based in Germany and working covering education assistance in the same area like Educare is doing in Cameroon.
Education is expensive and for some students going to school will just be a formality because they do not have the necessary tools to light up the genius in them. As a result mediocrity easily becomes the order of the day from school grades to the professional level. But for me, the story is different.
I am Nzotsa Djoukeng Sophie,MD. I am a cameroonian, from the west region. I did my nursery, primary and secondary studies in the North West region, Bui division. It was in form three at GBHS Kumbo, that I got in touch with Educare Africa. Educare served as the booster I needed. I got enrolled into the Program as beneficiary in 2010. The school supplies I got went a long way motivating me for more merrit and excellence. To push me a little further, in 2012, Mme Pavla Laney brought me a book that exposed the lives of great women in history who shuddered not to attempt living their dreams. This book I have read countless times and consistently sat in my mind to do medicine which I did and today I am a Medical doctor and currently pursuing my specialisation in paediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical sciences of the University of Yaoundé I. It is thanks to this same spirit of excellence that I met my husband.
A parable says a runner needs to train hard to win the race, but the cheers of the onlookers is an invaluable fuel that motivates to the end. Thanks Educare Africa for believing in me, cheering and supporting me.
To all students out there, believe in yourself and hold on to your dreams. To all our kind donors a thousand thanks will not be enough, and may your open hands continue reaching far and wide to inspire and may the Almighty replenish your resources.
I personally look forward to joining forces to stretch a helping hand to the needy. May more kind donors sprout to support this organization.

While in the University in Bamenda at St Louis, I had Access to the Library of Educare AFRICA in Farmer's House mile 3 Nkwen. Again, the opening helped in my studies.
Bottom line is, Educare Africa is an organization whose life span needs lengthening, fundings, and assistance by all well Meaning People in the world that desire to see many Study and become enlightened globally especially those in Resource constraint areas.

I first learned about Educare Africa in 2008 after my GCE Ordinary Level Examinations. Meeting Mme Pavla and the team created some of my most precious memories. It wasn't just in the financial and non-financial (books, networks, information) support they provided. Their presence and work meant something more to me - that excellence and meritocracy still have a place and that they are recognized and rewarded.
I continued to benefit from this institution until 2011, and, in fact, I received the first cooking gas during my second year in university, thanks to the generosity of donors and the thoughtful distribution and accountability of Mme Pavla.
I hope that more children can benefit from initiatives like this and that systems are put in place to make it possible.
My name is Sikem Clifford. I am a Cameroonian.I am currently reading Medical laboratory technology at the training school for Senior laboratory technicians Bamenda. It is a pleasure for me to share my experience with this great NGO ( Educare- Africa).
My educational life since primary school was so challenging due to financial issues and basic needs. I had to even repeat class five because my mom told me she will not have money to register my first school leaving certificate and the common entrance. I was so frustrated. My mom struggled and I finished primary school afterwards, I gained admission into GBHS Tatum where I joined this great organization.
Being a member of Educare-Africa is one of the best things that has happened to me. Educare assisted me a lot by paying my school fee, providing basic school needs like pens, books, rulers and mentorship. Till date I have been enjoying many privileges as a member of Educare-Africa.
I Wish to thank in a very special way Madam pavla Zakova, the kind donors of Educare-Africa, the coordinator Mr Kwinji Kelvin for the support they have been given me which has helped me a lot in the domain of education. I know someday I will join forces with you to see to it that many more students across the globe get the necessary assistance to achieve their dream.
May the Almighty bless and Abundantly reward/ replenish the source of your income.
Long live Educare-Africa
A Lifelong Impact: My Experience with Educare-Africa
Educare-Africa has been a pivotal cornerstone in both my personal journey and in the growth of my community. This organization has shown unwavering commitment, extending from encouraging academic pursuits to providing tangible assistance and heartfelt mentorship. It is clear that Educare-Africa operates with a genuine and profound interest in uplifting communities.
My name is Shang Celsius, and I am the founder and director of Upgradestations and Ewaste Pro, ITAD service companies based in Gig Harbor, WA. My success story is intimately tied to Educare-Africa, as they have been a critical force shaping my life
Throughout my secondary and university education in Cameroon, I was the fortunate recipient of several academic encouragement packages from Educare-Africa. These ranged from financial aid, which eased the burden of school tuition, books, and lodging expenses, to invaluable mentorship that helped steer my life towards a path of success and service
Under the compassionate leadership of Pavla Zakova, the founder and director, Educare-Africa goes above and beyond. Ms. Zakova is an exemplary figure, and her true passion for helping others is immediately palpable. I distinctly recall her visits to our homes and communities. These weren't mere gestures; they were profound acts of engagement, during which she initiated meaningful conversations with our community leaders about the invaluable role of education. These meetings did more than just encourage academic pursuits; they ignited a vision for a brighter, more prosperous community and future.
I am in no doubt that without the support of Educare-Africa, my journey to higher education would have been fraught with insurmountable challenges. Moreover, it is highly likely that the businesses I have proudly founded, and the employment opportunities they have subsequently created, would not exist.
As a testament to the profound effect that this organization has had on my life, I pledge to continue supporting Educare-Africa and its noble mission in any way possible. The ripple effect of their work is vast and enduring, and I am confident that their impact will continue to reverberate positively for generations to come.
In summary, Educare-Africa is more than just an organization; it is a transformative force dedicated to empowering individuals and nurturing communities towards sustainable growth and development. I wholeheartedly commend their work and encourage others to support their remarkable mission.

I am Gife Yemangong Donald a Cameroonian precisely from Donga and Mantung Division.
I grow up from a family of eight childrens with a single parent. I never knew I will see the four walls of a classroom being the third born of the family. I have received pens, books, rulers, school bags school fees and other didactic materials just to name the these. Through Educare Africa,l was able to complete my secondary school with ease and good results.
During my high school in GBHS Tatum (2015-2016) Educare Africa have been of great help to me be it educationally, morally and financially even paying my rent. After my high school I escaped from Ntumbaw due to the ongoing crisis in Cameroon that lead to lost of some of my family members, unfortunately I lost contact with Educare Africa in the process.
Educare Africa have helped and is still helping many students in Cameroon. I am one of the many living testimonies. Thanks to the loving care and support of the kind donors through Madman Pavla Zakova-Laney, I am a bachelor degree holder in microbiology and Parasitology and currently a master student in the field of Epidemiology and Control of Infectious Disease in the university of Buea aspiring to go higher.
I wish to use this medium to immensely tender my gratitude to Madam Pavla Zakova-Laney and the kind donors for the financial support toward my studies this academic year 2022/2023 which was signed and supervised by Educare Africa Field coordinator Mrs. Kwinji Kelvin. May the good Lord continue to bless and strengthen you all beyond limit, for I promise you that all your supports will not be in vain.
I urge my loyalty and commitment to Educare Africa as it's my desire to keep the candle of Educare Africa's goal keep burning so that many young people without means will be opportune to go to school and make this world a better place that we all desire. Thanks!

The special touch of this non-profit organization has been felt in the huge consignment of laboratory equipments donated to the institution a few years ago, to Kickstart five laboratories of the institution: Biology, chemistry, physics, Geology and food science laboratory. As if this was not enough, the NGO for many years running has offered books, scholarships, didactic materials and other forms of encouragement to many students from especially poor background. The entire Talla Community embraced the NGO wholeheartedly and always looked up up to Educare Africa at the beginning of each academic year for this encouraging endeavours. The activities of this NGO have encouraged many students and many more have continued to register great academic successes all along. Educare Africa is relevant, timely in her interventions and a very useful partner in social and academic development. The people of Talla and environs doff their hats to you.

Accept greetings from the Principal of GHS Lus in the name of peace and Brotherliness. It's with great pleasure that l am writing to thank and appreciate you for the great gifts we received in the form of science materials to start equipping our school laboratory. The gift of science materials will go a long way to enhance Education in GHS Lus. I must confess that EDUCARE AFRICA has done wonders in the school because those are the ever first science materials the students are seeing.. This gesture is an indication that you are supporting the have not, the development of the school and your junior Brothers and sisters.
We should attest that this science materials were given in two different consignments with Mme Pavla herself being present to hand them to the school and community.
To this effect, we wish that this idea of Brotherliness and friendship should continue till we part no more. But as Oliver Twist, who will always ask for more, we wish to plead that, you continue with this wonderful idea because the laboratory is still to be completed. If possible help us with some laptops so that it can help the children to study. This is because our students need to have computer knowledge but have no computers to enhance the studies
We want to thank you immensely and say more grease to your elbow and the Almighty God will replenish the source.
Thanks principal
Denis Arrey EGBE.
Since 2000, Educare-Africa has served well over 2000 students, 29 secondary (high schools), and four universities in Cameroon, West Africa. The sincere, whole-hearted testimonials of students whose lives have been profoundly changed by Educare Africa, enabling them to become teachers, health care workers, and civil servants, are unforgettable. As an educator in the USA, I cannot think of a comparable nonprofit organization in the developing world that is as effective as Educare-Africa. Donate now and know that your contribution will help Cameroonian students and their teachers in countless ways.
Educare Africa has created a positive impact in the students of GHS Talla and the community of Talla village.
In 2014 to 2016 over 100 students benefitted from their benevolence in scholarships, books, pens, laboratory equipments for the science laboratory. This has encouraged the students especially the females to obtain a high school education. Excelling in chemistry, biology, physics , food science and Geology. This gesture earned Madam Pavla the head of this organization in Africa and the Cameroon leader Mr Kwenji a traditional title in 2015 "Maya Ngibu" meaning Queen mother who is open handed. Thank you Educare Africa we wish you long life and still solicit for your assistance to deserving students of GHS Talla Ndu subdivision, Donga Mantung Division, Northwest Region of Cameroon in the years ahead.Talla parents whose children benefitted from these gesture also contributed in their little way with a packet of nails to the construction of their head office in Tatum , kumbo North West Region Cameroon.

I acknowledge that Educare Africa- Madame Pav. la Zakova Laney has greatly impacted the lives of students in GBHS Ndu and GBHS Nitob in Donga Mantung Division and Mezam Division in Cameroon.
In Ndu, scholarships were given to deserving students, modern laboratory equipment’s, didactic materials, moral and pedagogic advices were given to the students, PTA and School Board etc.
Many students that Educare Africa assisted are in higher institutes of learning while some are studying out of the country due to carrier counselling.
With all the didactic materials and laboratory items, sanitation equipment, our O/L and A/L results were the best in the division. The results crowned me the National Best Principal of the Government High schools in 2016 (Watch dog National Press Award 2016). Besides, I was appointed to head GBHS Nitob in the Regional Headquarter of the NW region.
In Nitob, before my retirement in 2020, I scored 100% A/L GCE examination using madam Pavla’s advice and Educare equipment which I received.
More than 70% of the female students are now science oriented, examination centers were transferred to write GCE examinations in my school due to our modern equipment etc. Parents have named their children after Madam Pavla even mine. I have never seen such a woman who is so devoted and very accountable.
Long live Educare Africa, God bless Madam Pavla Zakova Laney for impacting lives of the people. She has scored over 90% in my assessment as I testify, this can be verified.

I have come across several goodNonprofit organization BUT Educate Africa is excellent. They keep on wiping the tears from the eyes of the less privilege. This had changed many lives in this group of low income. It had also given moral Education and hope for the future to many including me. THE SKY IS YOUR LIMIT, BEAUTIFUL-HEARTED PEOPLE.
I am Nyummo Mauline Leeynyuy from Cameroon. I went to school with a lot of financial difficulties, but by the grace of God Almighty I met Educare Africa when I entered secondary school in Government Bilingual High School Tatum Since 2012. Educare Africa has been assisting me and many others by providing materials like; pens, pencils, rulers, books, sewing school uniforms, paying house rents, paying school fee. Educare Africa has helped many students across Cameroon, thanks to the loving care and support of many kind donors.
I am a nursing student with the Higher National Diploma in Nursing and aspire to go higher. I will forever remain grateful to Educare Africa.
I wish to use this medium to express my gratitude of thanks to Mme Pavla and the kind Donors of Educare Africa for the wonderful work they have been doing. May the good Lord bless and replenish your efforts immensely.
It will be a wonderful thing if the kind donors of Educare Africa can keep this organization alive through their donations so that the lives of many young students can be changed as they aspire to achieve their dreams without the means to do so.
I met Ms. Pavla over 20 years ago when the non profit was beginning. I was impressed with the organization’s purpose and dogged determination to help as many students as possible attain an education. It was my pleasure to be a donor to the In Harmony Scholars over several years and to donate to several other students. For many students, Educare Africa was and is the only way that they could continue their education. These students have become teachers, doctors, lawyers, leaders of charitable organizations and leaders in their community. Any donation goes directly to the young people who desperately need a chance to complete their education while navigating unimaginable obstacles. This is an organization that richly deserves all of our support.
My name is Rev. Christian Fai from Tatum the headquarters of Educare-Africa. Many years ago I got admitted into what was known as Government Secondary Tatum which is now known as Government Bilingual High school Tatum. The year was 1997/98 academic year. My father resisted my going to secondary school due to lack of finances but I applied some faith and moved. My fathers statement was that what ever I see there I should take it. The was a metaphorical expression that signifies that it was not going to be easy. It was not easy and then I came across Madam Pavla who was a Biology teacher. Since I was a junior student she never taught me but faith some how brought us together. She take interest in my needs and started meeting them. Sooner or later many students began to receive basic needs from her. This include uniforms, shoes, bags, fees text books and many more. The number of students in need became to much for her alone to bear until Educare-Africa was conceited and we continued benefiting from them till now that am a student with the Hebrew University in Israel and the Institute for biblical languages in all in Israel. Am also a pastor with the Baptist in Rivers state Nigeria and also a Bible consultant in training. I am heavily indebted to Educare-Africa because without her I could not have been what I am today. I shall surely support the Organization with the much i can when I finished from my present studies. I pray that because thousands have benefited from Educae-Africa may those with the heart to bless lives consider writing their wills in favor of Educare-Africa so that more lives can be impacted. Thanks for reading through my story.

a beneficiary of Educare-Africa.The life of many students in Cameroon is usually a formidable challenge. The existential challenges of the Cameroon student make most students ever in need of help from institutions like Educare-Africa. I can say with confidence that I am today what I am because of the great help
offered me by this Organization.Through the help of Educare-Africa I have been able to attain my dreams within fourteen years.Beginning from secondary school, through high school and to the medical school, Educare-Africa has unceasingly assisted me.I have received with great joy and immeasurable gratitude financial, material and moral support from Educare-Africa that has seen me through the challenges of school life. With the help of God and with a renewed commitment to excellence, I wish to now specialize in a definite field. The vision and drive of Educare-Africa are indeed bigger than individual goals and ambitions. That is why Educare-Africa never ceases to impact lives.I am a living testimony to that bigger vision.Today I am a medical doctor thanks to the support of Educare-Africa.That is the more reason why I once again render immense thanks to this great organization and other faithful donors for their continued support to the less privileged of society.I too have the passion to provide a conducive and enabling environment for young people to study together with Educare-Africa.Thank you so very much, and God bless you all!
My success started with my transfer from a private college in Ndu to GBHS Tatum where Mrs. Pavla Laney was my teacher. School materials are basic necessities behind good grades and success in school. I was very motivated and eager to learn due to school supplies I received from Mrs. Pavla ( Educare Africa). My education through from Forms 3 to high school was basically dependable from the help i received from Educare Africa. My love for biology started with Mrs. Pavla as she makes learning fun and easy. I am a Registered Nurse working on my master in health administration. My solid foundation in health started with supplies and equipment in biology we received from Educare Africa when i was in Forms 3.

I greet you all in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My name is Fondze Joseph, from Ngar-Ntumbaw, a village in the Donga-Mantung Division of the North West Region of Cameroon. I knew Mrs. PAVLA ZAKOVA LANEY when I was in Secondary School at the then Government Secondary School Tatum, which is now a Government High School. Mrs. PAVLA was a Peace Corps Volunteer and my Biology Teacher. She use to help me and many other students with basic school materials like pens, pencils, colors, books and so on. She was very caring to students. In fact she was a mother to us.
Along the line she came-up with a club in school by name ''Joy and Success'' in which I was a member. I came to realized that this club was a leadership training club as we use to learn a variety of things there. Some of which include; public speaking, singing and dancing, faith sharing with the use of Daily Word and so on.
By this time, it was unfortunate that I had a snake bite accident on my left leg that later developed ulcers. One of my friends in school (MENJO JUDE) discovered that I was seriously suffering and had no means to get proper medical care. He took me to Mrs. Pavla and informed her about my situation. On the spot, Mrs. PAVLA told me to start preparing that she was going to support me to go to the Hospital during long Holidays which she did. At the same Mrs. Pavla introduced me to Dr. Bonlannder who was on a visit to Cameroon and came to Tatum where I was schooling.
It was during my stay at the Banso Baptist Hospital (during long holidays) where Mrs. PAVLA took me for the treatment that I was informed that I was going to receive help from EDUCARE-Africa. That is how I knew that Mrs. PAVLA has created an Organization by name EDUCARE-Africa.
Through this Organization Dr. Bonlannder became so concerned about me and my leg that he followed-up over the years till when I was at the University that the leg healed. I keep praying and thanking God for them.
I want to say here that I was the most fortunate and the highest beneficiary from Educare-Africa. From the time Mrs. PAVLA new about my leg issue, Educare-Africa took care of my School needs from Secondary through High School to University. I received help varying from School fees, house rents, Hospital bills, food, books, transportation, I mean full time sponsor from Educare-Africa.
I remember when Mrs. Pavla visited me in my village and still sent people twice to my village to check on my situation when I was sick with the leg.
I am alive today thanking God for EDUCARE-Africa and Dr. Bonlannder. What I know is that EDUCARE-Africa has changed and is still changing the lives of many people and communities in Cameroon. It all started in Tatum but has grown so large to many schools and communities around Cameroon.
The on-going work at the Educare-Africa Community Resource Center in Tatum is a big project that I wish to call on all men and women of good will to support. Educare-Africa is changing lives and changing the World.
I want to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all those who are supporting Mrs. PAVLA and Educare-Africa in these wonderful works they are doing in schools and communities around Cameroon. May God Bless you more and more as you keep supporting these projects
My experience and story about Educare-Africa can cover so many pages. To be continued.
God Bless you all.

I am Mbinta Fenibe James (MD, MPH) a 30 year old Cameroonian. I am one of the key beneficiaries of Educare Africa. I am a clinical and public health practitioner and researcher.
I will like to express my heartfelt and sincere gratitude to the Founder, President & Executive Director, Mrs. Pavla Zakova-Laney. To say that I am touched by your sincere devotion to the underprivileged children in Cameroon does not sufficiently express my gratitude. I am grateful for all you have done, and pledge my unparalleled commitment and an indubitable desire in continuing in your footsteps. Please accept my warmest heartfelt thanks.
"Why do people help children who are unrelated, live thousands of miles away, and differ in terms of ethnicity, language and religion?". To all the donors, through your faithful financial contributions over the years, you’ve demonstrated your deep commitment to the work of Educare Africa. Generous gifts from you provide the financial and moral support needed to keep our dream alive. Your support has repeatedly played a key role in our success especially reducing illiteracy in Cameroon. There is no way to fully express my gratitude for your loyalty. I am continually inspired by your dedication and generosity to answer the call to give again and again.
We all live in the era of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with a unique call for action by all countries, poor, rich and middle-income to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. Ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and addresses a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and environmental protection. The mission of Educare Africa is in line with these global goals.
Despite what has been done so far, a lot still has to done. I will like to use this opportunity to call on all of us (donors and beneficiaries) to contribute in any way we can to keep the mission of Educare Africa a life. Our action will have a ripple effect. Together, we will work in the spirit of partnership and pragmatism to make the right choices now to improve life, in a sustainable way, for future generations.

I am Yufemo Silvie, one of the many beneficiaries of this wonderful NGO called Educate Africa. I went to secondary school with a lot of financial difficulties but was opportuned to meet this group in my secondary school, the then GHS Tatum. I was privileged to receive help from this group ranging from pens, to tuition from form one right to University. I am now a holder of a bachelor degree in Biochemistry from the University of Buea all thanks to Educare Africa. It will be of immense help if good will donors can keep this organization alive through their contributions so that the lives of more children will be changed through this organization. Thanks again Mrs Pavla Zakova Laney for your kindness
I am Wirba Pascal Yuven. Mrs Pavla Zakova Laney came to Cameroon as a peace corps volunteer in 1997 and was my Biology teacher in the then GSS Tatum. She was as well my class mistress and was in our school for three years. She had a lot of empathy for us students and would not relent to assist in our needs as students. When she finished her peace corps service, she felt that to reach out to many students, it will be wonderful she starts an NGO. This was how she then came up with EDUCARE-AFRICA.
I have benefited from the assistance of this wonderful organisation right from secondary school. I am now a graduate from the renowned university of Buea, Cameroon. I teach Chemistry, an author and an environmental activist. Without this wonderful organisation, i wouldn't have been this accomplished.
I therefore urge anyone who has empathy to donate be it a pencil, a pen or even a prayer for students in Cameroon through EDUCARE-AFRICA. This will go a long way to produce many more productive students, well accomplished who can join the Educare-Africa alumni and be part of a solution to the needs of students in Cameroon. This will help many like us to accomplish our dreams. Thanks immensely and remain blessed.

Shalom. Season greetings in Jesus name. Am called Njobara Innocent Njobara, born in Mbam Ngendzen, in the North West Region of Cameroon, precisely in Nkum Sub Division. Upon completion from primary school in Mbam Ngendzen, I was fortunate to be part of the selected few to benefactor to receive aid from Educare-Africa, under the Leadership of Madam Pavla.
I was bless to receive this aid for three years which deeply set a solid base and good foundation for my great future. After form Four, I was suspended from the program. In September 2015, I re-applied for assistance for a degree program of which this time I was unfortunate to receive. However, by the special grace of God I made it through.
I am what I am today thanks to help from Educare Africa for setting the foundation. I remain humble to this great program, project and to all the sponsors especially Madam Pavla and her team for setting the great base for my life.
God bless Educare Africa and I pray this organization never wind up or closed down, but to continue to exist so as to put hope and set the base for many orphans like me in my country and let the peace of God reign in this beautiful country.

My Name is Rev. Christian Fai the senior Pastor First Baptist Church Isua in Rivers state Nigeria. I was born in Tatum the village where Madam Pavla poured her body soul and spirit on poor students that are not biologically related to her in any where. I have seen many lives change in my ministry and by God's Grace I have also assisted a handful of students with basic needs both in seminaries, primary schools ,and university such as fees , hospital bills, rents etc. Every time I looked backed I keep saying if not for Pavla . my parents were not even able to afford my basic needs in primary school talk less of secondary school. so they never wanted me to go the secondary school due to poverty. but I insisted not because I had faith that i was going to go through but because I wanted History to record that I also visited secondary school. My parents were ready to see me come back home but when I got to Secondary School even though Pavla was not teaching my class since I was a junior Student but she found me and became everything to me. she became my sponsor, providing all my needs, such as fees uniform, text books and everything that a student needed. I am strongly convinced that it was because of me that Educare Africa was founded because all support to me started when Educare was not yet in existence and the support continue even through the Educare plat form. I shall for ever be grateful to Educare Africa for making me who I am today.

My name is Etienne Tawong. As a peace corps volunteer in Cameroon, Mrs. Pavla was my biology teacher at the then Government Secondary School (GSS) Tatum for 3 years. Before Educare-Africa was born, Pavla had already started helping many students with their school needs like books, school uniforms, school fee, etc. including me. Beyond her acts of generosity was a vision to start this Nonprofit organization Educare-Africa. For me, Educare -Africa was there just at the right time. I reached points where my family could not afford my school fees, and Educare-Africa was my helper. After graduating from High School, I didn't know where to go, but Pavla, with the help of Donors of Educare-Africa sponsored my training in a computer school as a Computer advanced user, technician, and network administrator. This was the right seed planted in me, and I still see the harvest today. I am just one of the hundreds or thousands of students who have benefited from the generosity of Mrs. Pavla, Educare-Africa and it's kind donors.

i am Ndzeidze Thomas Maika, former student beneficiary and presently volunteer to Educare-Africa.
Educare Africa was established in 2000 after Madam Pavla Zakova (founder) finished her Peace Corps service as a teacher in the present day Government Bilingual High School Tatum. She taught me biology for three years and experienced the hard and unbearable conditions which students had to endure to learn (lack of text books, uniforms, school fees, shelter, laboratory equipment, and basic studying materials). Even before the creation of the NGO, she helped so many students with scholarships of various kinds.
At creation, the NGO made several visits (mostly trekking) to several remote villages to understand the plight of the students. I was part of the team.
My advanced level studies, Undergraduate and post graduate studies were heavily supported by the NGO either financially or materially. I sometimes wonder what would have happened to my studies in the absence of the NGO and these kind donors. I will ever be grateful. At the university, I formed a subgroup under NGO (Educare – Africa Buea Branch) which coordinated students receiving assistance from the NGO. Many students benefited and many have come out to be responsible persons in all walks of life.
I have worked as a volunteer all along assisting in project writing, execution, reporting and accounting. We have won grants from the VWR Foundation (to equip labs in the North West Region), from the Riverside Church (to provide books and uniforms to several schools, from the Ten Dollar Club, Friends of Cameroon, Ears to Our World and others. After all the hard work done, I was voted in as Board Member.
Presently, we are working on a giant project – our building (Educare-Africa Resource Center). This structure will contain the main building (sleeping rooms and a parlour), the computer building, Public library, bakery and picnic grounds. Work is ongoing on the main building.

I am Wirmvem Mengnjo Jude from Cameroon. Mrs Pavla Zakova Laney was by biology teacher during her peace corps service in Cameroon.
Since 1996, Pavla has been supporting many of us from secondary school to university by providing school materials like shoes, books, pens, pencils, rulers; paying school fees, sewing uniforms, paying house rents and electric bills. Since her personal allowance could not satisfy the increasing number of needy and good students, Pavla later created Educare Africa. Through this NGO, she has helped many more students across Cameroon, thanks to the loving care and generous support from many kind donors.
I am now a PhD holder and just completed my postdoctoral studies in Japan. I will forever remain grateful to Pavla and Educare Africa for making me what I am today.
I am Ngoran John Paul Leinyuy.
When i finished high school, the path to the university was never clear. I remained stranded at Buea until a beneficiary of Educare Africa decided to equally share with me all he got as support from Educare Africa. Thanks to him, I moved to Yaounde, Started my studies, got to know many very inspiring people through Educare Africa. Learnt to be positive and move forward. i am still to complete my studies. Thanks to all the Above, i am getting successful in business. I now employ "at my level" Four other cameroonians. It is great to know Educare. I hope to be a benefactor to Educare Africa in the nearest future.
Pavla has put her life and soul into this organization. If it weren't for her it would not exist. She has helped a lot of people.
I have helped numerous students stay in school and even go on to university. One thing I like about EduCare's operations (and why I keep donating) is that they have an annual check-in with every child to make sure the money is really being used for purpose and that students are making progress. All the money I donate goes to kids.
Educare-Africa is doing a great job and i served in the organisation. They are real and have accomplished a lot for so many poor children. I recommend them for any form of support to making change real. I was the country director in Cameroon, now i run a new organisation called Leéiyen. We intend to partner with her so they should contact us through our site or email or anyone who needs to make a difference. www.leeiyen.com or can send us a direct email at info@leeiyen.com join us in facebook or twitter let us make a difference in the world through love
I support this program because the money goes directly to the students and the school and its projects. Moving from Peace Corp worker to lifelong sponser, Pavla's nonprofit is an outstanding example of how cooperation, inspiration and generosity can make a difference in empowering individuals and communities. Education is the best gift we can give to empower others intellectually, economically, and socially. She personally meets and interviews students and parents to determines needs, motivation and abilities. This program can be used as a highly effective and successful model for other educational nonprofits.
Little did I know that my compassionate and brilliant student would become Madam Pavla and establish Educare Africa. She has kept me informed of its continuing growth and the amazing results for its students. I applaud her and her students and all who are part of this amazing adventure in education.
By Educare-Afrida assisting those in need in Africa, humanity is assisted and uplifted. Hope and someone to care enough to take action is a powerful healing for all. The ripples return to each of us. Bless all connected with this effort with infinite blessings now and forevermore.
Traveling to Cameroon and seeing the impact of this mission was a truly uplifting experience for me. This program may be small, but its effects are far-reaching, bringing hope, resources and opportunity to students, their families, the schools, and the communities as a whole. Educare Africa is extremely well-organized, efficient, receptive, and their resources are used wisely and conservatively. The Educare Africa students I have met and spoken with are brilliant at encouraging and helping the younger students work hard to study and reach their dreams. They are dedicated to using their education to build up their own communities in insightful, sustainable ways. I couldn't have more regard for the mission's President, Pavla Zakova-Laney, who puts all her trust in God, loves those children, and sees only the best possibilities for them.
Educare Africa is a small organization with a big reach. Pavla's work and energy on behalf of the children in Cameroon is truly inspiring. It has been a joy to watch this organization grow from an idea into an amazing reality through the efforts of one dedicated woman who has the courage to care.
This is an excellently operated non-profit which has and is, doing much to educate and support young students in an impoverished country.
This non-profit started when the founder was finished with the Peace Corps. She realized the need for more help. If everyone was like her, there would be no more poverty in the world. Every year she takes a trip to Cameroon to bring school supplies, and other necessities to the schools in the area she used to work at. The rest of the year she has fund raisers and speaks at schools around the area. Every penny she earns from her part time job and her fundraisers goes to the students in Cameroon. I'm really impressed with her dedication.
Pavla Zakova-Laney, the President of Educare-Africa is a vivid enthusiast which always looks for resources to help students in Cameroon. She keeps all supporters informed about her annual trip to Cameroon and about well being of the students, detailed information about spending and fantastic results. It is always great to hear how many students are able to go to school in Cameroon with Educare's help.
