Programs: Our Mission: “Supporting Persons with Disabilities in Enhancing Their Way of Life.” Opportunity Resources Inc. was established in 1955 as the Opportunity School Foundation and offered education for disabled children. What was once a small rented classroom has now became a 30,000+ square-foot nonprofit organization that provides services to over 750 individuals with disabilities in and around the Missoula Community. Opportunity Resources Inc. has pioneered the empowerment of individuals with disabilities on many societal fronts—housing, employment, education, arts, and community integration. We continue to build programs and offer services to individuals with a wide spectrum of developmental and intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, mental illness, traumatic brain injuries, visual impairments; and also support disabled veterans. Opportunity Resources employs over 300 staff members to ensure that we are able to offer the highest quality of services to the clients that we serve, as an organization we have not been immune to the current staffing shortage that is effecting employers nationwide. During challenging times we are grateful to have an amazing staff that has picked up extra shifts and went the extra mile to ensure that our clients continue to receive the level of service that Opportunity Resources is committed to.
