Causes: Disaster Aid, Disaster Preparedness & Relief Services
Mission: Open Arms for Fire Victims has been established to work with vulnerable and at risk clients who experienced tremendous loss; provide food assistance to impoverished communities; and create self-sustaining technical projects that will provide income and empower individuals and communities. With hurricane season approaching, we wish to be prepared to assist our community during disasters. The funds will assist with flood damages in Texas. Your contribution will provide emergency supplies where they are needed most, and will rebuild homes to assist families. Our team specializes in early crisis response, so that rebuilding can begin quickly. We will be providing immediate relief services, along with longer-term reconstruction services. As part of our current rapid response work, we are focusing on repairing damaged homes and schools that are located in vulnerable areas. We will employ local workers to assist affected individuals as they rebuild their lives after the disaster. Please consider supporting our cause. Our goal for the campaign this year is $50,000. Funds will be used to expand and enhance our existing programs. We will acknowledge your donation in various ways.
