Grace under pressure....
Kia Scherr and Master Charles Cannon launched One Life Alliance in response to the deaths of Alan Scherr and his daughter Naomi Scherr during the Mumbai terrorist attack on November 26, 2008. Less than a week following the tragedy in Mumbai, Master Charles and Kia were interviewed in a standing room only press conference held at the Synchronicity Foundation. While still recovering from the shock and deep in grief, both Master Charles and Kia gave responses to the media's questions regarding their thoughts and feelings about these events. Each in their own way refused to condemn the terrorists. Master Charles responded by explaining his philosophy of non-violence and therefore, non-violently, would not judge the terrorists. Kia referred to Jesus Christ and said "forgive them they know not what they do". This interview is available as a video on the One Life Alliance website under "media". My name is Helen Connolly. I was with Kia Scherr's husband and daughter in India, during the terrorist attacks. I experienced first hand that Alan Scherr and his daughter, Naomi, embodied the vibration of wholeness that inspired One Life Alliance. Their deaths gave birth to this organization....an organization that seeks to educate people to set down their superficial differences, look into each others eyes and souls and see the same light of life shining through all.

Now, through the creation of educational programs, OLA is showing us that loving can be easier than hating and that cooperating can be simpler than competing when we use this light of awareness to brighten areas of ignorance and fear within ourselves and others. It starts with us and is filled with infinite possibility. One Life Alliance is making a love offering that could transform the planet. It's up to us to choose to accept it and pass it on. I urge everyone to love themselves enough to do so as, this way, we all win.

My name is Phyl Graham and I am a retired nurse. My current focus is as a volunteer with Community Hospice and an inpatient Palliative Care Unit. I am especially interested in caring for nursing staff.
My relationship with One Life Alliance came about as a consequence of my experience in Mumbai during the 2008 terrorist attack.
I was so encouraged by the way Kia Scher and our guru Master Charles Cannon responded to that event, that i was moved to return to Mumbai in 2010 for the launch of the Indian Chapter of One Life Alliance.
The concept of honoring the sacredness of life, first in oneself and then in everyone one meets is very important for Westerners and especially for nurses. Selfless service must proceed from care of the self, or the individual risks stress and burn-out.
Therefore, I have no hesitation in supporting One Life
Alliance. This organisation epitomises the be-have-do principle that Master Charles teaches.
I use the One Life Alliance philosophy in my own life, as well as in my voluntary work which includes contributing to workshops and conferences for nurses.

One Life Alliance was started by Master Charles Cannon of Synchronicity Foundation and Kia Scherr. Scherr lost her husband and daughter in the Mumbai terrorist attacks and responded by offering forgiveness to the terrorists. One Life Alliance promotes this attitude and asks individuals to see the sacredness of life in everyone they meet.

Since the terrorist attacks Scherr has traveled around the globe, returning recently to Mumbai to promote the sacredness of life and our essential oneness at the site of the attack. This is a powerful message much needed by a world that is mired in fear. By promoting forgiveness and compassion One Life Alliance helps shift our focus and removes us from the familiar cycle of revenge and retribution which only causes more of the same.
