Mission: To initiate and coordinate resource development and conservation programs that enhance the social, economic, and environmental quality of the region.
Programs: Agriculture safety day- farmville- youth from the five county area around farmville received training on how to be safe when operating typical farm equipment and other items normally found around rural households. This project relates to the land management element of the area plan to support existing agriculture. Buy fresh buy local food network initiative- odrc&d's role in this initiative was to coordinate the process and submit the application for the establishment of a local chapter of bfbl in the council's ten-county area.
