Mission: to use the time, talent and resources of qualified pro bono attorneys to represent children in the Juvenile Division of the Oklahoma County District Court.
Target demographics: The purpose of Oklahoma Lawyers for Children is to use the time, talent and resources of qualified pro bono attorneys to represent children in the Juvenile Division of the Oklahoma County District Court.
Geographic areas served: Oklahoma
Programs: OLFC's volunteer pro bono attorneys give their time freely so that these children's legal representation will not simply be adequate but excellent, and carried out in accordance with the local state and national standards for representation of children. OLFC's non-attorney volunteers provide Shelter Volunteers that visit children taken into custody in preparation for their Emergency Show Cause Hearings and provide Home Studies to aid the placement of children as quickly as possible. OLFC also provides other volunteers that provide legal support services such as court reporters, private investigators and other services to help ensure that these children are protected and receive the finest legal representation possible.
