Mission: The oakland community college foundation was established in 1979 to accept and facilitate private gifts to benefit occ students and to enhance the quality of education at the college. Gifts support students through scholarships and educational program development. The foundation is governed by a board of directors comprised of volunteers: business and community leaders, representatives of the occ board of trustees and occ administration (ex-officio).
