Causes: Sports, Swimming & Other Water Recreation
Mission: Exclusively to foster national and international amateur swim competition, and primarily to conduct national and international competition in swimming, and to support persons and develop amateur athletes for that competition.
Programs: The year 2011-2012 was a great one. It was year in which the norwalk zeus swim team placed in the top 10 in the state championships. In addition to the team success we had great individual success stories. There was 1 graduating senior, who will swim in college. We had 8 swimmers qualify for the usa sectional championships. Of those 8, 2 qualified for the usa junior national championships. There were also several others who qualified for the ct eastern zone all star team. Among this process the team hosted 8 swim meets, one of them was at wesleyan university with almost 800 swimmers from all over connecticut. We also gave 5 need based scholarships.
