Causes: Civil Rights
Mission: We are a grassroots organization formed to take an active stance against the proposed addition of 6 million chickens in our community and to protect and monitor on a continuing basis the negative impact this has on our health, groundwater, air quality, soils, roads, and property values.
Programs: Through the use of meetings, print, activities informing public officials, and filing lawsuits against the firms trying to add 6 million chickens to our already overloaded chicken factories. We have accomplished this and have established a continuing progarm of monitering our air, water and soil qualities on an ongoing basis into the future to maintain our community in a healthy atmosphere.
