Mission: The mission of the Northwest Maritime Center is to engage and educate people of all generations in traditional and contemporary maritime life, in a spirit of adventure and discovery.
Programs: Puget Sound Explorers - Sailing Adventures: 5- to 10- day camps and voyages for ages 12 to adult. Outdoor leadership and maritime training. Sailing and rowing from Port Townsend, Puget Sound to the San Juan Islands in longboats, or ‘pulling’ boats.
Learn to Sail: Sailing classes for beginners to advanced, ages 8 to adult.
US Sailing Association Instructors.
‘Messing About in Boats’ Sea Camp: Maritime themed activities for ages 5-7 & 7-10
Build-A-Boat’ Family Boat Building: Families and groups build it, row it, and take it home.
All ages.
