Mission: Ncm's mission answers jesus christ's call to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and receive the stranger, and the prophet's call to do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with god. Then the righteous will answer him, lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you? And the king will answer them, truly i tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me. -matthew 25:37-40
Programs: Sheltering - pleasant valley emergency shelter accommodates the needs of 25 men who are homeless every night of the year. The shelter opens daily at 4:30 pm and provides residents with safe, secure sleeping quarters, a hot shower, and a warm evening meal.
permanent housing - in accordance with our mission to receive the stranger, ncm's permanent housing program offers housing to men who are working to break the cycle of homelessness.
food pantry - ncm's community food pantry provides a week's worth of food 700 to 800 qualified northside families each month. Among local food pantries, it is the largest single client of the greater pittsburgh community food bank.
