Nonprofit Overview
Mission: Northern new york library network (the network) is a tax-exempt organization chartered by the university of the state of new york. The network is a regional multitype library agency primarily dedicated to cooperatively provide support and services necessary for all of its members to meet their individual goals. The network serves libraries in the seven counties of northern new york for the ultimate benefit of the library user.
Programs: Provide online union catalog (www. Icepac. Net) and inter- library loan software for cooperative resource sharing among all libraries in the region.
provide library staff within the region with workshops in library techniques and skills and classes in the use of computer equipment and applications.
provide library staff and the general public with access to research tools such as online research databases and locally digitized historical materials (news. Nnyln. Net).
provide medical information to health care providers through a regional circuit rider library program delivered to hospitals within the region.
