My son Michael was in your loving care for six weeks a year ago this month . It has taken me this long to be able to write a long overdue review. From the very beginning the staff all the nurses and doctors were welcoming with loving arms to embrace Michael and take our hands to prepare for letting him go. Mission: Northcare hospice and palliative care exists to offer excellence in care, comfort and support to those experiencing a life limiting illness so they may embrace life until death with dignity.
Programs: Northcare hospice homecare program-northcare hospice provides in home (whether it be a home, long term care facility, assisted living facility or other type of home) care to patients in the north kansas city area specially trained staff, of multiple disciplines, help patients and their loved ones with the challenges of life-threatening illnesses.
in patient facility-the northcare in patient facility provides the comforts of home coupled with the addition of experts at the patient's side. The 16 bed facility addresses not only medical and nursing care for patients facing advanced illnesses, but also emotional and spiritual support for patients and their families. This program is a supplement to our homecare program in that it is used when medical problems are too serious to manage in the home setting.
