Programs: 4a the north county womens shelter provides 2 emergency safe houses for women and their children who are victims of domestic violence the safe houses provide a safe and secure environment for healing families in the shelter are eligible for all s ervices at no fee during the fiscal year the agency provided 6623 days of shelter and 19869 meals to families living in the safe houses
the counseling program provides low-cost individual and group counseling to individuals who wish to address domestic violence issues counseling services are available to women men and children over 4 years old during the fiscal year the counselin g program provided 1169 hours of counseling to 113 adults and 41 children
the north county womens shelter & resource center offers crisis services and legal assistance to survivors seeking protection from a temporary restraining order the temporary restraining order program provides document preparation and court accompa niment to any survivor regardless of gender age ethnicity ability or sexual orientation during the fiscal year the agency provided crisis services to 198 individuals
