Causes: Cancer
Mission: North coast cancer foundation is dedicated to enhancing the lives of all people affected by cancer and provides: financial support for uninsured and underinsured cancer patients; complementary care programs, including art therapy, therapeutic yoga and cancer support groups, which are offered at no cost to cancer patients and family members; education for patients, survivors, caregivers, our community and healthcare professionals, including an annual breast cancer conference each fall; and research opportunities to improve patients' outcomes.
Programs: Nurse navigator. Education and service coordination for breast cancer patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
art therapy. Art therapy classes, exhibitions, and group presentations.
treatment and financial assistance. Awarded grants to uninsured and underinsured cancer patients to cover patient balance for radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and follow-up visits. Awarded grants to cancer patients for transportation and living expenses.
