Mission: The mission of the north american south asian bar association foundation is to: 1. Develop and fund south asian legal outreach and education, legal research, and public interest employment grants; 2. Develop and fund public interest projects that benefit south asian legal professional and/or the south asian community; 3. Have, in furtherance of its not-for-profit purposes, all of the powers conferred upon corporations organized under the california nonprofit public benefit corporations law ("nonprofit laws") and subject to any limitation contained in the foundation's certificate of incorporation or under the laws of the state of california; and 4. Do all other acts necessary or appropriate for the administration of the affairs and attainment of the purposes of the foundation.
Programs: Contributions to six public interest organizations for legal services and advocacy in areas of family as well as immigration issues. Legal and educational awareness services provided via free clinics. Grants awarded.
