Causes: Agricultural Programs, Food
Mission: Our mission is to facilitate education, communication, and an exchange of ideas among students, agribusiness, dairy producers, and universities that enhance the development of the dairy industry and its leaders.
Programs: The north american intercollegiate dairy challenge (naidc) allows dairy science students to apply theory and learning to a real-world dairy while working as part of a team. The challenge is a unique two-day competition among teams representing north american universities' dairy science programs. Also held in conjunction with the challenge is the dairy challenge academy that offers students the educational aspects of the challenge without the competition. The academy exposes more students, specifically underclassmen and two-year program students, to careers in the dairy industry. Naidc also offers four regional contests throughout the year. Approximately 520 students representing 56 universities participated in the year's national, regional, and academy events.
