Mission: Norse by Northwest is a non profit organization founded by heathens. Our main focus is our community outreach program.
We also have plans to build a Heathen and Pagan worship center in Northwest Washington.
Results: We have helped over 200 homeless citizens with clothing, rebuilt a woodshed for a veteran, helped a homeless mother of 5 outfit her newborn twins with much of what they needed to start out(they now have a stable home too!) repaired a tire for a homeless woman with a car, and are continuing our outreach.
In addition we are working on fundraising for a piece of land to start the worship and education center.
Target demographics: Local homeless
Direct beneficiaries per year: We are a new organization founded in 2017
Geographic areas served: Bellingham, WA and surrounding areas
Programs: Provide necessary items to sustain the seasons including clothing and laundering services and food
In the future to build a 'step up' tiny housing community designed to aid families and individuals in clean living, proper healthcare, and a stable place to live until they can support themselves in standard housing.
We also have plans to build a Heathen and Pagan worship and education center.
Donations may be directed to any of our programs or donated to the organization to be distributed where we need it most!
I wanted to donate some furniture to Homes Now (another non-profit building tiny homes for the homeless) and Shauna from Norse by Northwest was super-friendly and responsive about making arrangements to come to my home to pick up the furniture items for storage until they can be used. So great, they're partnering together like this!
I've never had the pleasure of working with such kind hearted folks. Norse by Northwest is always looking for new ways to help and put those less fortunate into a better place. Between our volunteers and community their is nothing that can not be achieved!
I had the opportunity to work with the Board Members of Norse by Northwest and found them all to be dedicated and honest people. Their goals and efforts thus far in providing direct assistance to the local homeless is already showing results and they are still a brand new nonprofit! I expect great things from this group of hard-working individuals and am proud to help serve with them.
