Programs: Minerals junior education day: annual event; students grade 1-8 (attendance 190) with their parents (add'l approx. 190) visit a series of 8 stations teaching about mineral, gem & earth science topics, receiving pertinent specimen(s) at each to build a collection.
nittany mineralogical soc. Bulletin: 10 issues/year, 8 pages, color illustrations; educational articles, news for mineral collectors & earth science hobbyists, calendar of events in the region, society news and info. Received by members (60) & select non-members in print or on website, immediately available to public on website.
monthly meetings: free & open to public, generally an expert speaker presents an illustrated one-hour program on a topic in the mineralogy/earth science field. Attendance generally, 30 - 50.
