Mission: The mission of Nickolas' Gift is to support and supply parents with useful items who experience an unexpected complication with their newborn infant. It was started by Neal and Dawn Borchardt after the loss of there newborn son, Nickolas. Donations go to supply hospital Obstetrics departments with carepackages, blankets and memory boxes for the parents of transferred, terminal or stillborn infants. The care packages include such items as a phone card, disposable camera, notebook and pen, toiletries, snacks and bottled water. These programs are designed to help comfort parents during a difficult time.
