Mission: Nystia represents new york state's tourism industry through collaboration, research, legislative awareness, and exceptional marketing.
Programs: The oranization conducts a cooperative advertising program in which about 30% of its members participate. We have placements in publications across the service area of the members. The organization conducts a cooperative trade show program, which displays the new york state tourism product through an exhibit booth and brochure distribution through the service area. This includes participation with i love ny, nys parks, and nys canal authority in appropriate markets. The organization conducts educational programming as a presenter of the empire state tourism conference and through its annual meeting. Guest speakers and educational programming, presentations, displays, and networking are provided to the members. The organization sponsors a scholorship program and has events which raise revenues to award to travel and tourism related students and programs in new york state.
