Programs: The calwomentech scale up project year 3 & 4professional development impacts: reached 180 educators and 18 teams with the project's highly rated "women tech educators" online and in-person training and a webinar on "recruiting and retaining female students in stem-related programs. " the project pi reached 417 educators through conference presentations such as the "equity and access in stem education" panel at moving stem forwardin the career, technical and adult educaiton symposium hosted by the office of career, technical and adult education from the u. S. Dept. Of education; 330 through iwitts webinars and over 1,628 contacts with posts on linkedin and facebook; 14,700 with e-newsletters through iwitts.
iwitts has rolled out a series of significant improvements to its womentech educators online training program - including requiring participants to apply as leadership teams - in order to meet the objectives for this project and deliver the most effective and engaging online professional development possible. These improvements have successfullypiloted two womentech educators online training programs funded by iwitts calwomentech (cwt)scale up project in preparation for the start of this projects's online professional development. The pilot trainings have already shown successful outcomes such as:100% of teams submitted their women in stem recruitment and retention plans in the 2014 and 2015 online trainings compared to 41% of participants in te 2013 cwt scale up online training.
