Mission: MISSION STATEMENT: To provide free & complete home furnishings to formerly homeless people, battered women & children in retreat, flood, fire & AIDS victims, the physically & mentally challenged, the sick & elderly and people living at or below the poverty level. To enhance the services of partnering social service agencies by providing their clients with good, clean usable furniture.
Programs: New Start Furniture Fund has developed a highly successful program of donated furniture acquisition. Our relationship with various hotels, furnished apartment complexes, furniture importers & retailers resulted in over 17,000 pieces of furniture being distributed to people in need in 2000 alone. In association with over 100 cooperating agencies who refer their clients to us, families in need visit our 8500 square feet warehouse to select their items to completely furnish their homes free of charge. Since 1996, our services have provided an otherwise unattainable level of comfort to over 10,000 people
