I'm a single Mom of 2 beautiful girls who attend New Song afterschool program. I am really blessed to have came across New Song. I was in disparate need of a new after school program becuase the one my children attended for 3 years was shut down do to lack of funds. If not for this Great program I probably would have had to quit my job. This program is great because the staff really love what they do. They are hands on with the kids and always speak to them in a even and respectful tone. The kids always do there homework and read books. My youngest daughter had some trouble with her reading and after a few months of this program she is reading at her grade level. I also love the open space of the facility and how there seem to be a endless supply of books, toy, and games. The outside area is a great size and is safe. I have never seen a afterschool program so organized, clean, neat and AFFORDABLE in my neighborhood. My girls are really looking forward to a fun packed summer program this year. I pray that the program is around for many years to come.
My Daugter has been attending both after school services and summer camp for 4 years now. I cannot express enough gratitude and how grateful I am to have my Daughter involved with such great people. The counselors really care about the children, and New Song Communitty Corp is always telling you how they contribute to the community, and ways you can volunteer to make a difference. I always feel so lifted when we all come together as one to do good for one another, and New Song has a very inspirational staff that gives you very feeling. I'm happy I found a place where my daughter is safe and feels comfortable, where she feels at home and she can improve her sense of well being during her time there. Thank you NEW SONG!
New Song Community Corp is an invaluable asset to the Harlem Community. The provide superior after-school care to several NYC public Schools in Harlem. I have two children who have been attending the after-school program for the past thre years. New song provides a rich learning environment for children from all ethnic backgrounds and enbraces each childs learning differences. I could not imagine having my children attend any other program in Harlem. New Song Parent!
