Target demographics: As a pioneer of low- and moderate-income housing, New Neighborhoods has acquired, renovated, developed, and managed more types of affordable housing than any other Connecticut non-profit, including co-ops, condominiums, senior housing, veteran housing, supportive housing, first-time homeowner housing, rehabilitation, preservation, acquisitions, conversions, and ground-up construction. Due to these targeted initiatives, we have developed nearly 200 home-ownership properties and over 800 rental units – delivering over 1,000 affordable housing units to seniors, veterans, and families.
Direct beneficiaries per year: New Neighborhoods serves over 2,000 residents annually with affordable housing and resident centered services.
Geographic areas served: As of January 2024, New Neighborhoods owns and manages 22 multi-family properties with a total of 826 affordable housing rental units, and also manages the compliance, sales, and transfers for over 100 additional condos targeting affordable home ownership.
