Mission: The mission of new life community ministries is to extend the practical love of jesus, through transformational programs that restore hope, revive dignity and raise the quality of life for our global community.
Programs: Change for life:this program provides case management services to individuals to assist them in overcoming life barriers, and support the independence and well-being of our clients and help them become self-sustaining as they reduce their risk of homelessness or become housed. Services include counseling/case management sessions (816), career counseling (116), homelessness prevention ($9571 rent/utility payments) ged classes (653) and at risk youth mentored from dekalb county department of juvenile justice (11).
his love extended dignity services:provides free services to meet the practical needs of the homeless. These services include haircuts for men (616), salon care for women (199), clothing (2245 served and 20 tons of clothing given), breakfasts (6103), lunches (5431) and food boxes (10,833 fed).
community health services:include behavioral counseling /referrals when required. We also make referrals to other needed medical care. Additionally, health services includes the sweet-heart program that offers workshops for seniors and select elementary students for the prevention or maintenance of shared risk factors for diabetes, cardiovascular and cancer. Programing includes screenings, education about the diseases, nutrition/cooking demos and fitness activities (222) served.
