Causes: Human Services, Young Mens or Womens Associations
Mission: The New Jersey YMCA alliance, inc. Is currently home to 31 independently chartered YMCA's, which serve more than approximately 500,000 adults and children every year. The organization's mission is to collaborate and work together in areas of mutual benefit in order to strengthen and enhance the individual YMCA's and the collective strength of NJ YMCA's to better serve the people of new jersey.
Programs: The New Jersey YMCA State Alliance's programs revolve around their mission to collaborate and work with the various YMCA's in the greater New Jersey area in order to strengthen and enhance the individual YMCA's as well as the collective strength of all the NJ YMCA's to better serve the people of new jersey.
The horizon healthy u initiative prevents obesity by instituting behavioral changes in children using a multi-pronged approach that includes nutrition education, increased physical activity, and family involvement.
The New Jersey Partnership for Healthy Kids initiative provides technical assistance and direction for childhood obesity prevention activities focusing on environmental and policy change in Trenton, Camden, Newark, Vineland, and New Brunswick.
