Results: We have received the highest award in the field of community development financial institutions, the Wachovia NEXT Award, for overall excellence and innovation. Since 1984, the Community Loan Fund has made $138,389,011 in loans, leveraging an additional $434,984,969 in those projects. We have helped create or preserve 6,588 units of affordable housing, 1,877 jobs, and 3,789 child care and school spaces.

Programs: During its 29 years the NH Community Loan Fund has made almost $160 million in loans statewide to help nearly 7,000 individuals or families acquire housing; nearly 2,900 create, find or retain jobs; and helped secure 3,800 child care spaces. Since 1984 the Community Loan Fund has developed the concept of resident-owned manufactured housing parks. Today, more than 5,700 families are cooperative owners of 101 parks in New Hampshire. Other programs include Individual Development Accounts, loans and technical assistance to child care and other non-profit facilities, loans and training for small business owners and entrepreneurs, and advocacy in the areas of affordable housing and access to fair credit.
