Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals, Wildlife Sanctuaries
Mission: Founded in 2002, the sanctuary is dedicated to: Education: The Sanctuary''s mission is to educate the public about the care and protection of all animals, habitat conservation, and ecological diversity. It is the tangible representation of the need for animal protection and a vehicle for education about conservation and habitat preservation. Protection: The Sanctuary provides lifelong care to captive monkeys that are retired from entertainment and research, or can no longer be pets. It is their permanent refuge for safe, more natural lives. The Sanctuary also provides lifelong care to special needs companion animals that may no longer be able to live in homes for a wide variety of reasons including old age, illness, incontinence, sight or hearing impairment, or problems of mobility. Preservation: The Sanctuary is a platform for education for people and a safe haven for animals. We''re saving animals today for our children''s tomorrow
Programs: Our greater mission is humane education, raising awareness and proposing viable solutions to the problems of animal neglect, abuse and homelessness. Sanctuary is one immediately achievable solution, but it's not the only or final solution. Helping animals requires a multidisciplinary approach. To that end, the Sanctuary is a platform for education, an opportunity to explore the problems facing animal welfare, and a vehicle for action toward achievable goals and solutions.
