The New England Parkinson's Ride takes place the second week of Sept. every year. It is a bike ride that has a 100 mile, 50 mile, 30 mile, and 10 mile route....something for every level of cyclists and families. It takes place in Old Orchard Beach ME. The first year, 2008, there were 35 cyclists raising $27,500. In 2015 , the 8th annual ride, there were 814 cyclists raising over $500,000.00. All this money goes directly to The Michael J Fox Foundation, and 100% of that money goes to research to find a cure for Parkinson's Disease.
