Mission: The mission of The Nesting Place is to create a place that will provide a small, stable, community living situation. Women who are recently widowed, divorced, or have lost long-term employment and lack significant resources are the only clientele. This demographic group is not served by any other organization locally and are usually not eligible for assistance from other resources, because they do not have children or major disabilities which prevent them from working. By the same token, women in this age group can have extreme difficulty locating employment because of age discrimination.
