Programs: Older adult services (oas) is a nationally recognized mental health program for wayne and oakland county residents age 60 and over and for adult nursing home residents age 18 and over. This is the oldest and largest mental health and aging program in the state. The mission of oas is to provide mental health outreach, residential and advocacy services and help older adults reach their maximum potential and remain active community participants.
homeless recovery services provide a safe haven for the homeless and provide crisis services for people in need. Specifically, the tumaini center, one of the homeless recovery services locations, provides substance abuse prevention services, mental health service, education, crisis intervention and referral services for individuals who are homeless or disenfranchised.
life choices provides support and a central access point for children and adults with developmental disabilities and their extended families. The life choices staff also advocate on behalf of individuals, secure resources and provide intermittent lifelong support services so individuals may live as independently as possible.
