Programs: Nehi inc administers the purchase/rehab/sell program using hud home funds provided through the nebraska department of economic development (nded). Households at or below 80% of the area median income qualify for the program. Nehi purchases the house, oversees the rehab work done to nded rehad standards, and sells the house to the buyer. At the time of sale, nehi provides approximately 20% of the cost of the home through a 0% loan that is deferred until the first home loan is paid off, the house is sold, or the buyer defaults. Nehi also provides reach standard homebuyer education and housing counseling.
