Mission: The Nehemiah Project is working to eliminate HIV/AIDS in the Ukhrul District of Manipur, India. HIV has spread throughout the district at an incredible pace over the last 20 years, today 22% of the population which has tested for HIV has been found positive.
Programs: HIV Care-The Nehemiah Project provides the resources necessary, including all doctor fees, for pregnant women living with HIV to deliver healthy babies, we also provide formula for the first year of the babies life Workshops-The Nehemiah Project holds workshops in villages that have a high HIV-risk in order to inform people of the basics of HIV as well as the hope there is to live a healthy and productive life with HIV Education-The Nehemiah Project is providing the funds to educate 58 HIV affected children, including HIV orphans
