Mission: Youth on course provides a continuum of services including subsidized course access, internships for high school students, college scholarships, employment to young men and women, and the caddy program. Success in the program is not defined by golf skill, but rather by participation, engagement, adoptions of the principles of the foundation and willingness to work.
Programs: Youth on course: youth program designed to increase the accessibility and affordability of golf. The organization subsidizes rounds of golf for deserving youths at more than 130 participating golf courses with 9,759 eligible participants. Participants' ages range from 7-18 and all must be certified to participate.
ncga foundation scholarships and internships: the ncga foundation staff reviews internship/scholarship applications and evaluates each applicant based on academic performance, interest in golf, work experience and financial need. Qualified applicants are interviewed by staff, board, and program partners, and the intern facility (for those applying for internships), and selected based on the quality of their credentials, answers to interview questions, and financial need.
