The National Pediatric Hypnosis Training Institute (NPHTI = nifty!) is a non-profit educational program for licensed health care professionals with advanced clinical degrees who want to learn skills of therapeutic language to help children and teens cope and manage medical and/or mental health issues, to give them mental "tools" to become more resilient when facing stress, and to improve their ability to "self-regulate" or modulate their emotions, thinking, behavior and mind-body reactions. Almost 800 clinicians have taken this training, representing almost 100 childrens' hospitals and pediatric inpatient settings, as well as private practices and academic centers, e.g. medical school faculty. The faculty include the top clinicians-researchers-teachers-authors in this field. Feedback from learners is consistently highly positive, especially the focus on experiential learning and gently supervised practice of skills. Pamela Kaiser, PhD, CPNP

NPHTI's sterling core is our Faculty, highly seasoned clinician-teachers in the field of pediatric hypnosis, who volunteer multiple hours toward our shared passion to guide multi-discplinary clinicians from around the globe to help children/teens learn to help themselves. David Wark, PhD, former president of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) was a wise and enthusiastic inaugural member of our Board. Bob Deutsch, PhD, a master of words, was NPHTI's first webmaster and listserve manager. We are forever grateful to both of them.
