The bbz initiative is working with local community groups in these three cities and key national partners and consultants to develop, evaluate, and implement a model for crosssector collaboration to reduce infant mortality and improve birth and early childhood outcomes in communities across the u. S. By the end of the three-year grant period, the work of these initial sites and our national partners will serve as a blueprint for site development and implementation in other cities around the u. S. The vision of the bbz is that all babies are born healthy, into communities that enable them to thrive and reach their full potential.
